My name is Chris. I’m a former high school social studies teacher who, quite by accident, became my school’s resident expert in character education for a few years in the early 2000s. That experience left an impression and, several twists and turns later, encouraged me to write children’s books that explore character-building themes.
My first such book was The Can’t Monster, which deals with the themes of perseverance, courage, and personal accountability. Future projects will incorporate the themes of responsibility, kindness, respect, and integrity.
By day, I am a historian for the U.S. Army (see “Other Writing Credits,” below). I’m also a full-time husband to a wonderful wife (and equally wonderful librarian) and proud papa to a 125-pound Great Pyrenees dog…but more about him later.
